We will begin first by taking a comprehensive medical/prenatal history and dive into risk assessment and nutritional counseling. Each visit is scheduled for 30-60 minutes depending on weeks gestation. We offer in home prenatal visits starting at 37 weeks to discuss your birth vision. Then, we perform routine lab work,  genetic screening, fetal heart tone assessment, as well as mothers well-being assessments to ensure the health of you and your baby. We give out referrals for anatomy scans and any further professional referrals and resources best suited for your pregnancy and postpartum needs.

BIRTH VISION

Beginning at 37 weeks

At 37 weeks, we begin the process of building your birth plan vision. We take in to consideration your surroundings of labor and how you want it to look and feel, fetal monitoring and ensuring you and your baby's health and safety, newborn care after delivery,  breastfeeding preferences and skin-to-skin contact, as well as create  any necessary back-up plans.

PRENATAL EXAMINATION

The Process

The consistency of prenatal appointments range by your weeks gestation. At each prenatal examination your midwife will walk you through a series of routine checkup practices to ensure your baby is growing at a healthy rate. At your appointment, your midwife will perform routine lab work,  perform genetic assessments if desired, provide an assessment of the mothers well-being, monitor fetal heart tones, and guide you to additional educational resources as needed
